Acrylic and receipts on plaster 120 x 44 x 101 cm This installation reflects our current consumerist society. Obsessed with materialism, we have become blinded by luxuries. Instead of valuing happiness, we aspire to get new things. Thus, we have become isolated by materialism. This sculpture was a plaster cast of my body with receipts, demonstrating that I am trapped by consumerism. The patches of skin suggest that there is a person trapped under these receipts. I did this to create a strong link between the viewer and work.
