Acrylic, dried flowers, and tree branches on cardboard, 22 x 30 x 10 cm each
I intended to immerse viewers into scenes of loneliness. Each box’s palette is centered around a cool color, invoking calmness in viewers. Stylistically, I incorporated impressionistic techniques. Symbolically, each scene represents the different ways loneliness may be experienced, whether it’s sitting alone on a beach or in a backyard. The green painting centered, as it is the only piece where the figure directly faces the viewer. Through this, I aimed to establish an eerie silence.
