Acrylic on polymer clay in wooden boxes 10 x 20 x 15 cm each Like the previous series, these works create a sense of isolation. When I visited my cousin’s apartment, I noticed how his room reflected his living habits, with meals for one and littered trash. It felt dreary, which I used as inspiration. Unlike the rest of the exhibition, this series features less dark imagery. This was done to ease viewers into the gloom of the other artworks. The thrown objects show that someone recently left; this was done to evoke a sense of loneliness in viewers.
